We are family, I've got all my sisters with me π
So
much has happened over the past week or so I am not sure where to begin.
Last week was a bit of a blur. My school is massive with very large class sizes,
so I had a lot of teachers and students to meet straight away. Monday was all
over the place I wasn’t sure who my mentor was or what I was doing, kept
getting lost in the school, I still don’t know where the teachers loos are! I
teach 5 - 18 year olds which was a lot to get my head around at first, so
picked Emiles brains for ideas and strategies to cut down my planning time
while he was still in Leon. Tuesday I was straight in teaching primary, two
teachers literally just want me to speak for an hour to the class, I have been
told to speak more Total Teacher Talk Time!
The
students are all super inquisitive with tons of questions for me, I was even
asked “if I could have lunch with any historical figure from the past who would
it be”?! Caught me of guard as the previous question had been "what is your
favourite colour"! As time has gone by though I have had much more structured
lessons, it is still chaotic at times turn up to class and they don’t want me
to do what we discussed previously. For example, “Ella is your teacher today and
she is teaching you about describing clothes using modifiers”. I am?! Ok we're doing that then; think I pulled it off!
Anyway,
the troubles of the day quickly fade away when I get back to the gang and we
can have a good laugh or a cry about our day. Wouldn’t be the same without them,
they are all truly inspiring ladies, getting though their days and standing strong.
Right
enough of my ramblings, time for a wander around this beautiful city and some
tapas.... maybe a glass of wine it is "my favourite" after all π
Much love Ella, super proud of you!! ♥️ xx
ReplyDeleteYou are all my favourite ;) love this xxx
ReplyDeleteI totally get your experience about TTTT. At Celta course it was my biggest problem and have been constantly told to cut them down down down...Over here it became a selling point. They might mistake us for stand-up comedians coming all the way to entertain the class in English, French or whatever gibberish. It amused me nonetheless.
